A Tribute to Antietam Lodge 197

A century and more has passed

Since this Lodge's die was cast.

Just one hundred ten years ago

that's not too long as time lines go.

A group of twelve men  both good and true

knew then just what they had to do.

Each one of them a Master Mason

knew the challenge they were facin'

Then they applied for Dispensation

to correct their situation.

Then they reviewed each one taking stock

and got permission from Grand Master {Brother} Shryock.

With Doub appointed Worshipful Master

this new Lodge could move a little faster.

They left Eureka 105

and  then  Antietam came alive.

Now this is true take no offense

this Lodge has been working ever since.

Now we have just begun to grow

and all around us soon will know

the vital parts we all must play

to keep progressing every day.

To show the products in our {Booth}     To teach the tenets that we profess,

and  live them  to  our very best.

Brotherly Love, relief and truth to all Masons should appeal,

but Masons above all must retain their zeal.

Then we can see in Darkest  Night

A brightly glowing Masonic light.
